• It uses a AAAA cell battery. You can purchase these online at various retailers, but pen should last a while on each battery. Website says like 300 days of 2 hours usage.

• Uses AAAA batteries that you can get online very cheap and I use them in another pen for Windows and haven't replaced it in two years. My use is not daily so batteries would likely wear out quicker with heavy use.
