I also had a problem with the stylus not turning on,but the targus representative said to check your setting and look up " stylus"and see to you can see the stylus on the list.or might simply not be compatible with this specific stylus.

On some USI compatible devices you may have to go into the settings and then to Stylus Tools to activate the stylus. I would also suggest tapping on the top one or two times as it may be in a sleep type mode and that will wake it.
