• They power anything. It doesn't need a power cord it uses your own laptops power and the ports can be used like any other USB port on your comp

• The stand connects to the laptop with a USB cord, drawing power from the computer to run the cooling fans as well as the four additional USB ports on the stand itself.

• The USB 2 Hub draws power from the laptop USB port. I have powered up to three devices (Flash Drive, External Hard Drive, and a Mobile Hot Spot) all at the same time with no issues.

• It receives it's power from the computers USB port, and will power any computer accessory that has a power cord ending in a USB end connector.
