“Does it have the shut off and turn on when you close and open the cover?”

yes. This cover has the opening to get at the on/off button easily. And the volume buttons are covered but the cover is specially designed and allows you to still push them through it purposely.

Yes it does turn on when you open and it shuts off when you close it

Although, not advertised on many of our cases the sleep/wake function is present on most.
