“What are the amps, watts, and volts required to run this device safely? I prefer not to plug it in to the laptop as previous cooling mats (not this product) have increased the required energy draw and thereby created more heat than before device use.”

• Our Dual Fan Chill Mat Cooling System is plugged into your laptop via USB and draws power from there. A standard USB 3.0 port will provide about 900mA of power but it will be split between all used USB ports on the laptop.
