“Will this work well for cooling multiple cell phones?”

• It's really made for laptops not cell phones. Could possibly work.

• This is a great idea for cooling down multiple cell phone but I use it mainly for my laptop.

• You have to keep the fan plugged into a power source or the fans won't run and the pad won't work. Having said that, you can lay multiple phones on the fan and it should keep them cool. but if your phones are overheating, you should contact the manufacturer and see if they need repairs. I hope you bought extra warranties!
