• While it does work with an Acer Nitro (as the vents for the laptop are on the bottom), it won't do too much for cooling if you're using it for gaming. I currently use one for my Acer, as a travel cooling pad. It works well for business trips and meetings but I had to get a new pad for gaming. Keep that in mind for purchases.

• Generic actually, keeps things ventilated, not cooler the only problems unforseen is it sounds like a freight train in my office.
