“just purchased two monitors and have a lap top , the goal is to view two different items , 1 on each monitor obviously , sounds basic and simple but not a tehno guy , what adapter/splitter do I need ? Thanks”

• You would be better using HDMI for each monitor and getting some kind of HDMI adapter to split the monitors.

• Most monitors come with a cord you can plug directly into your laptop. If you do not have enough ports this adapter will work well with multiple screens.
