Q: QuestionWhere is this product made/manufactured?(2 answers)
A: AnswerChinaAnswered by TheConsultant
- A: AnswerI do not think so. I used a different one by the same brand for over 10 years. The only reason I am not using that one now is because I got a new computer that only has usb c ports. I didn’t think it would be a good idea to make it go through an adapter, and have my things then plug into that. I got this one specifically to use with my new computer so that I could plug it directly into the computer. Unless product quality has really gone down in 10 years, I expect it to last like my regular usb one has. As long as you are not rough with the cord, it should be fine. I have actually never had any of my usb cords go bad. The lightening connector on my iPad developed a crack in it, so I replaced that cord. That’s the only computer cord I have ever had to replace.

Q: QuestionDoes this work for setting up dual monitors(2 answers)
A: AnswerI doubt it. This is for connecting a computer that has a usb-c port with devices that have usb connections, since usb devices do not fit directly into usb-c ports. The ports on the hub are four regular usb ones. It’s for people who have lots of regular usb devices, but have usb-c ports on their computer.Answered by babybunny

- A: AnswerMost monitors come with a cord you can plug directly into your laptop. If you do not have enough ports this adapter will work well with multiple screens.

Q: QuestionWill this work for my midi keyboard?(1 answer)
A: AnswerIf you have a computer with a usb-c port, and your midi keyboard is a regular usb device it will probably work.Answered by babybunny
Q: QuestionDoes this device work on fire TV cube?(2 answers)
A: AnswerI do not have a fire tv cube, so I do not know what kind of cord it uses to connect to other devices. This usb-c hub is intended to connect a laptop computer that has a usb-c port with devices that use USB-A cords. For example, my new computer only has usb-c ports, so if I want to connect my regular usb devices, I have to either use an adapter, or a hub like this. This hub allows me to connect up to 4 regular usb devices while the hub plugs into the usb-c port on my computer. It works with computers running Windows, Mac, or Chromebook operating systems, if they have a usb-c port. If you are planning on using this to connect a computer with a usb-c port to a fire tv cube (assuming it has a usb cord and that the fire tv cube is compatible with your computer), then it should work. If you are wanting to do something else with it, then probably not.Answered by babybunny

Great HUB... Not externally powered
The HUB works great for what most applications. However, you do need to determine if the hardware you are plugging into the USB ports require additional power. In my case, I hooked up two USB powered travel monitors (one cable hook up) and it really struggled keeping them both connected. If you must, look for an externally powered HUB to remedy this issue.

Works ok, but cable is too short
So far this hub works well, but my one complaint that prevented me from giving it 5 stars is that the cable is a little too short. I had thought I would plug it into one of the USB C ports on my Apple Studio Monitor, but the cable is too short for it to reach the desktop. Instead, I plugged it into the back of my Mac mini and it barely reaches around to the side.

External USB Lifesaver
Very nice! Many laptops only have 1 or 2 USB ports. This makes life so much easier.
