• Check with the manufacturer of the product to be sure it will work with this Capacitive Stylus. There are different type of Stylus. And Capacitive Stylus is one of them. If they tell you to use a Capacitive Stylus, then this will work. You can take your device to any Best Buy Store and test it out to be sure you get what works well with it. Ask for Sales Associate and I'm sure they can help you. Good Luck.

• I use mine on a Samsung smartphone & tablet but I assume it will work with the Surface.

• yes, I got mine for the Surface RT and I don't have the key pad. This makes using the touch screen so easy and typing is easier.

• It should if it is a touch screen. It works great on my Sony Vaio Flip touch sceen, which runs windows 8.1
