The Travel Power Adapter will work with American Hair dryers to change the wall outlet to work with the hair dyer. However, you will need to make sure that the hair dryer supports the volts in the country that you are in. So, if you are in China where the outlets support 220v/50hZ you would need to check that the hair dryer is supported for that.
