• Yes, as long as you don't attach to many things that it is trying to power.... as long as you are just transferring information and keep the powering objects down.

• I use my Targus 4 port USB hub with my Surface Pro which only has 1 USB port. I don't have a keyboard (it's attached to the Surface Pro), but I plug a blue tooth mouse and 2 250GB SS drives and/or Flash drives into the hub to load and download data and images.

• This item adds me options to charge my phone, connecting with a flash drive and an external CD drive....as my Dell Latitude Tablet computer only has 1 USB port. The price is very reasonable while giving me the best value

• Yes, you can use this device to add as many USB devices as it will hold, up to the limits of your computer's ability to power the port. A keyboard and USB drive should not be an issue when attached at the same time.
