“I understand the TV requires internet access for streaming services. However, if someone is accessing network television through an antenna or cable box, will this TV function for that with the wi-fi router turned-off and no internet access? Thank you.”

We have several of these sets in the nursing home where I work. At that place they use the cable connections instead of the smart funtions. At home I use an antenna that I tape to my window to get the over the air channels. Using the input function I switch back and forth between the smart and antenna functions.

This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup.
