• No, you do not have to purchase a streaming service to use this TV. You can just connect it to your existing Xfinity. I have cable and a cable converter box - that's what I hooked up to get cable TV channels. But I also plugged in an Ethernet cable (from my internet router) as well, though it will also work with WiFi if you'd like. The TV comes loaded with front end apps / links to let you surf the web via your internet connection - i.e., YouTube, Google, download other apps, etc.

• This TCL Android TV has various inputs that can be used to connect external devices like a cable box. Currently, this TV does not support the Xfinity streaming app. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

• You will need a subscription to a service, ie Netflix, Prime, YouTube tv. I would call xfinity and see if they offer a streaming service.
