“Can I use the apps (netflix, youtube etc) right out of the box or do I have to have some sort of Roku membership/account in order to access these apps? One of the reviewers mentioned having a Roku acct and how everything was easier because of it?? Help!”

• If you’ve had a Roku device previously and you have a Roku Account, once you begin the setup, the apps you have loaded on a previous Roku device will automatically load to the new Roku device. I would recommend creating a Roku account.

• Just bought at Best Buy and tried to set up. Was forced to call Roku to install Roku who said I must upgrade my old Roku account for $70. taking back in the morning, Not Happy
