This TV has a diagonal measurement of 32 inches. This TCL TV has a coaxial located on the back of the TV near the other inputs. By connecting an antenna you can receive over-the-air channels. You do not NEED an antenna or cable connection, but you do have to have an internet connection (WiFi) in order to use any of the apps. For traditional LIVE TV content you would either need an antenna or cable connection. I have it plugged into electric only and connected via WiFi to my internet. I use Netflix, Amazon, Discovery+, Disney+, Hulu, and AppleTV. Q3: Sound quality is average for a TV. I am using it in the bedroom, at average listening levels with little background noise. If you want better sound at higher volumes, or are listening in an area with lots of background noise, a sound bar would help. Of course sound quality is subjective, so I would recommend getting the TV only and see if it works for you, if it is not good enough or loud enough, then add a soundbar.
