“I own this tv currently and it is hooked up to Wifi via my internet connection now. However, if I got rid of my internet service provider and only had a Wifi router and connection, would the SmartTV options still work with just WiFi connection?”

In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The apps need to connect to a provider over the internet, so no. The only things that would work would be a local antenna or maybe a gaming system. Wifi without a internet provider doesn't allow you to connect to anything outside of your house.
