This TCL Android TV features an Android operating system. This TCL TV has a coaxial located on the back of the TV near the other inputs. By connecting an antenna you can receive over-the-air channels. However, the reception depends on the signal strength. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well then I hope you have a really good antenna in your yard. No TV will pick up local channels without one. If you have an antenna then the cable has to run to the TV somehow. If you are in an area where towers are close then you could possibly get away with a small antenna but in my experience the bigger the antenna the better the signal. You must have wifi or internet hookup to use this TV (or any tv) unless you are using said antenna. And at the very least a hotspot either from your phone or your internet provider. If you have said antenna then hookup is an absolute breeze. One push of a button swiches you to the local channels. LED is just the lighting in your television. Smart TVs run on Roku sticks or fire sticks. Android TVs can be used the same way as your Android phone and controlled by the phone as well. You can download all sorts of apps from the Google play store. There's a lot more freedom with an Android TV. It's a great TV for the price. But useless without internet or antenna. Hope this helps. 2 pics showing trying to connect to an antenna that doesn't exist. The background screen with channels is because I'm connected to the internet.
