QuestionWill this play movies from a USB thumb drive ? or external hard drive? I see it has a ear bud jack I thought head phones were 1/4 inch plugs?

- Answer The built-in media player and USB port are design to use moderately sized thumb drives for playing back movies, pictures, and music. QuestionCan you change the picture aspect ratio from 16;9 to 4:3?

- Answer Hello James, You cannot force the 16:9 or 4:3 aspect reation, however the TV's picture size is set to "Auto" to adjust for content that has a different aspect ratio than the native 16:9. There is an option to even stretch 4:3 content to fit 16:9, if you want to do that. Hope this helps TCL Social Support

- Answer Yes, assuming your “older MacBook” has Airplay capability. On Home Screen of the s535 go to settings, move right then down to Apple Airplay and HomeKit click on it, Move right and turn on Airplay, decide about code requirements. Then set up MacBook to cast and follow instructions.

Questionhow will this tv do mounted on the wall on the patio. tv will be away from rain. last ruko tv was a Sharp, it lasted 3 1/2 years i understand this tv is not made for outside . since we live in South Florida there rarely is any extreme cold weather.

- Answer You answered your own question. This TV is, indeed, not made for outdoors. You may get away with using it there for a while but sooner or later the heat and humidity will kill it. Especially in a climate such as Florida enjoys.

QuestionCould I connect this TV to a Yamaha v795 receiver from the 1990s just by connecting them through an optical audio cable? And if so, do I just turn off the TV speaker and make sure the receiver is turned on and set to the correct input?

- Answer This TCL Roku TV is compatible with most soundbars and can be connected via HDMI ARC, Optical, or the 3.5mm headphone jack. You should be able to simply disable the TV speakers and use your receiver as you have described. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

- Answer Not sure what your question is, but this is a Roku based TV, not iOS or AppleTV. You can connect an AppleTV box to it via HDMI for screen sharing from iPhones and other Apple devices.

QuestionHaving trouble syncing my Direct TV satellite box to the TV. Have used two different HDMI cords to the TV. One I get full picture with no sound and with the other I get picture and sound in the menu box but cannot get it to full screen. Any suggestions?

QuestionWhat is the exact measurement of the screen across? As long as the legs are on the stand, can the screen be a little over?

- Answer On the 50”, the outer edges of the stand meet flush with the edge of the tv. The 65” has 2 position options for the stands, so if you don’t have enough space you can put the stands close in and let the screen hang out more. The screen has very small borders on the sides, close to 1/16 of an inch so you’re screen will be almost exact to the size you buy.
