“This website shows that the width of the TV stand is 29 inches. Yet other websites (including the TCL manufacture's website) show the width to be 33.5 inches. I need a TV stand no wider than 31 inches. Is this stand truly 29 inches wide?”

This was my question and, now having received the TV and placed the legs on the TV, it only has one placement for them. It is 33.5 inches wide. All other websites have the correct stand dimentions, except Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This was my question and the previous answer is wrong. I received my qm5k 50 inch TV and attached the legs. There is only one width - 33.5 inches. There is no narrow or wide placement for stand legs. The 33.5 inch spec matches all other websites (including TCL's) and the spec on Best Buy's website is wrong. Be aware if stand width size is an issue.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 50 inch model has two feet placement options, the wide placement and a narrow placement. For the 50 inch, the two placements would be 33.5 inches wide for the traditional position and 29 inches wide for the narrow position. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
