“I want to send my mom a TV, but I don't think she'd be able to set it up. If i buy it and set it up here with Netflix, YouTube, etc, then stick it back in the box and mail it to her, will the apps and settings be there when she plugs in power/ethernet?”

Hello AbstruseJ, That is a great question. For the most part this will work if she is connecting the TV up to an Ethernet port. However, if she need to connect the TV to wifi that will need to be setup up once she pulls it out of the box so it can find and connect to the wifi.
