Do we need a sound bar for clarity? null

I use it with a soundbar, but I had no issues understanding the TV before I set that up. So, for a question of clarity I would say you do not need one. There is quite a quality difference with one, though. My TV is hung on the wall which may also affect the quality of the built in speakers.
