“I was told that this would be very difficult to install on a stone fireplace because of a box that’s on the back of it? And that would have to be cut into the stone. I was wondering if that is true.?”

This TV does not come with an external box. For installing in this specific place, you may want to consult an installation expert to ensure that it is done properly. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not going to be easy to install on stone, but you do not have to cut into the stone in that way. You will need to have screws that will mount into stone, however. You may want to have a professional come and look at it instead of trying to do this one on your own.
