• Go to settings; screensaver; wait time and you can disable the screensaver function

• Their is a setting that will turn tv off after inactivity for a period of time .Go to Tcl.com and download the pdf on the manual.When i purchased mine they have set by default that the bright light stays on when tv is off on bottom i had to find that setting to turn off.
