QuestionI got this today. And it has the worst picture I have seen it doesnt look like a 4k tv. More like a 720. I got it to 4k thru the setting and it still didn't help. It has that soap opera affect. Can u help me

- Answer Tcl is not a part of Sharp or Hisence I've had this Tv for over a year and works great.Download the manual at Tcl.com it is very informative and has answers that i wouldn't have figured out on my own.1 example if you put a 32gb 3.0 flash drive in usb port you can pause live tv for up to 90 minutes.Also Hdmi inputs have in settings to change for older or newer equipment that you hook up.Also to get the full potential of 4k you need at least 25 mbps speed with your ISP .And if you get a 4k Blu-ray player that will give you the best picture.Because streaming cant hold all the info like a Blu-ray player can.Go in your settings and change some and read the manual i think you will be happy with the results.The picture is only as good as all your other equipment hooked up to it be patient.Good luck Ps i do not see soap opera effect on mine thats why i didn't want LG or Samsung and Roku is great .

- Answer Actually Roku sells those special buttons, so the unit you receive might have different buttons from another unit as contracts expire and new outfits purchase those positions. I have older Roku units that still have buttons for defunct services. I have not been able to find any info on how I might re-assign any unused buttons to a different source.

- Answer Currently, our TVs do not support Bluetooth. If you are trying to connect a sound bar or speakers you can use the Optical port, or the HDMI ARC port. For Headphones, there is a Headphone jack on the back of the TV, or you can download the Free Roku app for private listening. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

QuestionTrying to connect a VGA signal to this TV with an VGA to HDMI adapter. The TV does not recognize any signal. Same VGA cable to a computer monitor works fine. Same adapter to a projector works fine. What could be the issue?

- Answer YOU NEED A DESKTOP WITH AN HDMI OUTPUT TO CONNECT TO TCL TV ....HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAD TO FIND OUT THE HARD WAY....BOUGHT A LENOVO DESKTOP AND HOOKED UP THE HDMI TO PORT 4, SELECTED HDMI4 ON MY REMOTE AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE....MAKE SURE YOUR TV SETTINGS ARE SET TO "DIRECT" THO OR THE SCREEN WONT FIT THE TV.....WIDE AND ZOOM JUST DONT DO A COMPUTER JUSTICE

- Answer Yes of course, but you can't use both at the same time, I use my digital antenna instead of my cable cord bcuz I don't need cable with this smart tv, you really don't need it at all bcuz the roku built in system has thousands of apps with thousands of free movies and live TV news,sports,shows all for free plus you can subscribe to commercial free apps like Netflix, Hulu, You Tube, Sling tv, HBO, Starz, countless apps to stream from, this TCL Roku smart TV offers much much more than cable, when you get yours I guarantee you that you will cut the cord, unless you got money to burn on cable TV!

- Answer WiFi is needed for the internet, this smart TV has a network searcher and scanner for all your WiFi connections, HOWEVER this smart TV works just FINE without a WiFi internet connection, just screw on a digital antenna and you'll get all your local channels,but you need that antenna or a cable cord connected to the tv or you won't get anything at all, but I think if you get that internet connection you'll have thousands of free or subscribe movies, live TV, tv shows, prime time, sports everything, plus Roku adds on thousands of free apps every update so you could stream everything you want or need, oh yeah you can hook your Blu-ray or DVD player up to the HDMI plus you get 2 HDMI connections on this TCL 55" smart TV!
