You might not have it squarely on the threads. Mine worked fine. They do make quality push-on cables, too. If you're out on the signal fringe, the over the air tuner isn't quite as sensitive as some. Otherwise all good.

By connecting an antenna you can receive over-the-air channels. However, the reception depends on the signal strength. If you are having trouble connecting your coaxial cable to the TV, you may want to check to see if the threading on your cable is stripped. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
