When we received it, we noticed the feet were not going to work with our stand. So we ended up facing the feet inward when we installed them. This allowed it to fit a stand that was 42 inches wide. So it depends on the actual width of your base. If your 52 inch tv stand is 52 inches across, then you should be good.
