Was there a power surge? The tv should be under warranty because it may be the power board where the back lighting is not working.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This happened to me, the screen was black but the sound still worked. And if I pushed on the screen I could see white light. I learned this meant my T-Con Board was out. I found one online (about $20) and found a youtube video on how to replace. Took just a few minutes and now it works fine. Make sure you get the right one though. You can't just go by the white numbers etched on the board, the first twelve numbers on the white sticker with the bar code on the board must match also.
