“Is it mandatory for a Google account to be signed in to TV? I will just hook up my Apple TV and have zero interest in using the TV apps. The tv will not even be connected to the network.”

In order to utilize the full capabilities of this TV and receive the most current software updates, the TV would need to be connected to the Internet. This TV can also be used in basic mode as opposed to utilizing it as a smart TV. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
