No I wish, you can disable the sound from the settings menu but then it cuts the optical for some reason. However mute the tv and then simply use the Soundbar so you don’t have the echo chamber going on
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When connecting a soundbar via Optical to one of our TCL TVs featuring Google TV, there are currently no settings to disable the TV speakers. You would have to turn the TV sound to zero, and then use the soundbar remote to control the soundbar volume. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We didnt seem to have this problem, we turned the volume down and use the sound bar remote. I would check in the tv settings for a possible solution.
