“I just bought a new 50" TCL TV. My question is does the Soundbar have a sensor for the Remote to turn on/off the TV? The height of the soundbar says it's 2.5" tall which looks like it will cover/block the sensor on the TV for on/off.”

The soundbar does not have a sensor or IR passthrough to turn on/off the TV if the soundbar blocks the IR sensor on the TV. If your TV features an IR remote, you may want to consider mounting your TV so that the soundbar does not block the IR sensor. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
