“What kind of sound or noise should be coming from the subwoofer because I hardly hear anything? I don't think any sounds is coming from the subwoofer.”

Deep bass sound. Check back of speaker to see if light is on solid or slowly flashing. Try unplugging speaker and plugging back in until you get a solid light. Sometimes volume has to be high enough to bring out the sound.
