You can either use the HDMI cable or the optical sound cord that already comes with it. Just make sure your TV has those ports available. And you might have to go to your sound settings to change it from TV speakers to sound bar/system/ theater mode. If you own a TCL Roku TV, settings are pretty much plug & play, as it detects it automatically.
