• I bought this as a gift for sometimes so I'm not sure about the specifics. A quick online search showed a help guide that revealed the following: "This function allows you to retain a theater-like environment at low volume levels. When watching a movie late at night, you will be able to hear the dialog clearly even at a low volume level. This function can be used with other sound fields." I can't speak to how well that works and the person I bought it for doesn't use the mode.
