Though TCL is correct that it will not fully decode lossless DTS-HD MA, it will decode the "core" lossy DTS bitstream embedded in nearly all DTS-HD MA bitstreams. Thus, as long as the audio is sent to the soundbar as either DTS or LPCM stereo (decoded from DTS in the Blu-ray player) and your TV has no passthrough issues, it should work well with either eARC or optical. If you're having issues with DTS playback, it's more likely to be a TV passthrough issue; the TV I got my S45H to go with wouldn't pass through DTS at all & told my Blu-ray players to decode DTS to LPCM 5.1 instead of 2.0, an issue only fixed with an OREI switch as expensive as the soundbar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the TCL S45H does not support DTS-HD Master Audio; it supports common audio formats like Dolby Digital and DTS, but it does not have the decoding capability for DTS-HD Master Audio. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
