“I purchased an ONKYO audio receiver. In hooking up both antennas, they both have reception issues. I get a lot of FM stations but it is very sensitive to people walking by. I get very few AM stations. Would this TERK improve reception? In my basement”

it did not improve, it still cuts out when someone walks in front of the receiver location

If you just want FM it is ok as is but if you want to use the AM loop look at the instructions and it shows you how to fold the loop so that the antennas do not interfere with each other! If in a basement the antenna may need to be near a window and separated from the device you are using. Would it improve basement reception? Likely yes
