QuestionHow does this connect? What sort of cable does it use?

- Answer It uses a coax cable for FM, and a 2 lead for AM. I haven't tried to connect the AM side due to limited stations.

QuestionHow does this work exactly? Have an older Timex clock radio I like to set the alarm so I wake to fm classical music station. Moved out to country now station barely comes in. Does it have to be attached to the clock radio itself or just placed beside it?

- Answer it will not work on your clock radio, its a hardwired connection

- Answer For my install, it worked best when manually tuning in stations. When auto tune was used on my stereo, only about 50% of the stations were received. When manually tuned, every station within a 60+ mile radius was received. Obviously some were clear, no static or white noise, and others were better but not crystal clear. Hope this helps.

- Answer In a word , yes. I have limited stations to use here but the nomenclature claims that the antenna will dramatically improve AM/FM station reception. Superior audio quality and compatible with HD radio. Also states no antenna can recieve a signal that isn’t there. When a usable signal is present, this antenna will improve reception.

- Answer Yes. I have a steel building with this antenna sitting on the top girt below the top of the gable inside the building. I have a 400 watt receiver about 7’ below it. It works well for all but weak transmission stations. My favorite public station sometimes drifts a little but this gets it in a lot better than before. This is a powered antenna and must be plugged in to work.

- Answer Check the back of your machine. There should be accommodation for two types of antenna -- AM and FM. The AM is generally a pair of screws to mount the wires of the AM part of the antenna. FM might be a pair of screws or a cable-type screw-in plug. Either way, the TERK antenna will fit. The TERK FM portion will fit only a cable-type mount. But the package comes with a cable-mount adapter that has two wires for attaching to the old-style FM antennas with only wires. Just attached the wires of the adapter to the FM screws on your machine, and you're good to go with the FM antenna.

- Answer TERK - Amplified Indoor Stereo Antenna -Received very good AM, FM & FM stereo, on my Onkyo, sound system. I had tried another, but received an un-acceptable result. This antenna returned very good performance. Very satisfied.

- Answer The wire to the antenna is a coaxial cable, so extra cable and some adapters to extend the cable should do it.

- Answer good question TV and FM Signals love to bounce off of things. I live in a condo, you could say is a cement box with the windows facing south. Most of Boston towers/antennas are north west of me. that is why I bought a amplified antenna. If your metal building has windows, you may get a signal.

QuestionMy stereo receiver is located in the basement where signal is weak, I get only a few stations. Does this antenna have enough amplification to bring in all the stations clearly?

- Answer I use mine in the basement. It does improve the signal but any weak stations will not come in crystal clear. But the other stations do come in clear. I am in NYC, don't know where you are, but my test for clarity is station 107.1, its a NJ station and does not come in down my basement with this antenna but it does come in clear upstairs on my other stereo receiver.
