Yes. I have a steel building with this antenna sitting on the top girt below the top of the gable inside the building. I have a 400 watt receiver about 7’ below it. It works well for all but weak transmission stations. My favorite public station sometimes drifts a little but this gets it in a lot better than before. This is a powered antenna and must be plugged in to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The owners manual states ; Certain areas in your home may be null points/ dead spots where no radio signal can be recieved . This may also occur in metal frame buildings or with metal siding. In this case , simply move the antenna, trying diff locations, until the best reception is achieved. Best answer I can give. Cheap enough I guess, worth a try. But here is the Customer service and tech info # : 800-290-6650.
