You don’t need an adapter because the small amplifier plugs into a regular power outlet.

Some of them are small enough to fit the power surge strip I hope you are using to protect your TV, DVD player etc. You may want to check with the manufacturer or geek squad to see if you have a warranty on your existing UBS power supply.
