Yes, as long as you use the same system, the save data will be the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, thankfully on the Switch your game progress saves onto your console, not the game cartridge like the 3ds. Only downside is that you can't transfer your save data onto a micro sd card...hopefully Nintendo will allow this in the future, so as long as you only sell your game, not the console, you'll be able to continue your game.
