Also check you tube for your motherboard settings to run cooler, some boards have there voltage set to high and cuase the chips to run hotter. Plenty of video to show how to correct this, i haven't used air cooled in over 10 years

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would think so. I have i5-9600k that I overclocked a bit and it keeps it super cool even while gaming for extended periods. I would think it also depends in your case and how well it moves air in general.

Please try again later.I used it for a Ryzen 7 and the temp is around 52 idle and 60 when playing games, I used a full tower case with 3X 120mm fans on the front and one on the back. Those temps are average. The Ryzen processors can take up to 90 degrees without any problem. Problems begin over 100 degrees, much better than in the past.
