• No. Not true. You just can not view anything unless your phone is connected or you put the memory card in a laptop. But as long as it is plugged in, it will record you driving

• Cam works without your phone. Phone is only used to adjust camera view and settings.

• Hello, the dashcam will stop recording if it is connected to the mobile application for checking the recordings or changing some settings of the dashcam. Once you exit the mobile application and close it the dashcam will continue to record.
