Hello CJ, The CarPlay won't interfere with the dashcams recording, however when connecting via wifi to the app, you will have to disconnect from CarPlay as your phone can only hold 1 Wifi connection at a time. You can disconnect from CarPlay and connect to the app, once you have finished with viewing the footage and settings, you can disconnect from the thinkware app and reconnect to your Wifi with no issue!
