“I would like an honest review of the icemaker from a customer after they have had it for at least 6 months. Anyone out there? Seems to be a weak point for all refrigerators when the icemaker is in the refrigerated section of the unit.”

I've had mine for almost a year. Pros: Ice maker is working fine, never had trouble with it. Seems to be going strong. Good sized ice cubes, fills up fast. Cons: My old fridge had separate dispensers for ice and water, this one doesn't. You toggle back and forth between ice and water. I worry about that button breaking (several years down the road) sticking me with only ice, or only water. Also, it's kind of a small reservoir. The volume is fine for normal use with our family of four, but you're never going to be able to fill an ice chest with it. Overall, I would say you don't need to be concerned based on what we've experienced. On a side note, we had a capacitor blow out (these things happen) and the first warning we got was from the ice maker dripping. So the location actually helped us in that instance. Since I brought it up, Thor was awesome in honoring their warranty. No questions asked. They fixed it for free. It took a bit of time to schedule the tech, but I've got no complaints.
