“Current subscription” is defined by the email address used to sign up. Any new email address can sign up for a new subscription with this service (billed annually, paid up front). Your other subscription is probably billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. To save your existing Tidal library, you can export it to Soundiiz or a similar service for $4-$5 and then cancel that service when you are done importing it to your new Tidal library. The Tidal family plan allows you to have multiple accounts associated with multiple email addresses which can stream music at the same time.
