The Tile has to be in range of your Bluetooth. It won't track a car unless you get close enough driving around with your phone for it to show up, which is hard if your car got jacked. It can tell you WHEN it got stolen. It will tell you the last time it was in range. You don't need one on your phone. If you have one in your wallet or on your keys, you can press the button on your tile and your phone will ring (it also rings when your phone is in silent or do not disturb mode). So, you can only lose one thing at a time. I bought the four pack and I set up one to just hang on a hook by the back door. This way if I lose everything I can at least find my phone which I can then find everything else.

And if you try to find your phone with it, there is a button on the tile you press and it sends an alert through your phone.

Please try again later.if ypu lose your phone but have your tile, you double click the tile and your phone will ring even if youve left your phone on silent. its a pretty great feature. so you’d just have to find it by rings. and i guess you could find your car, havent tested that yet.
