• A:Answer Hi Bob - Range is unlimited to find misplaced items. All Tiles work off of Bluetooth technology. If you are within Bluetooth range (250 - 400ft) of your Tile you can ring the Tile using the app on your phone. When in Bluetooth range the Tile will ring so you can hear it to find. If your Tile is outside of Bluetooth range it will auto connect to the millions of people who make up the Tile network to find your item. The Tile network is every phone with the Tile app downloaded. When anyone in the Tile network comes within Bluetooth range of your misplaced Tile you will get an updated location in your Tile app, no matter how far away it is from you.

Q: QuestionYou guys need to be a little more upfront . If for some reason a person gets out of range of the tile, it is a bluetooth honor system. If I am separated from a tile, how can it be recovered if I am not near it? I've lost two during business travel.

• A:Answer Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We apologize if there was any confusion on how Tile works. To recover your item, you can pull up a map in the app to check the last place your Tile was seen and head over there at your earliest convenience. If you are far away from the last location update, I recommend calling local businesses around the general area of the new location to see if anyone has turned in items to lost and found.

• A:Answer Great question - you can definitely use Tile for your luggage! When your Tile is within Bluetooth range (up to 400 ft), it can connect to your luggage at baggage claim. You can find comfort in knowing that your luggage made it safely, and quickly grab your luggage off the conveyor belt so you can be on your way. If your luggage ever happens to be lost, you can choose "Notify When Found" in the app. If you or anyone at the airport with the app open comes across your Tile, you'll get an update that it was "found" with an accompanied location update.
