Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a question which doesn't have a clear answer. Tile is a cloud datasource device. Meaning if you are in an area where a number of people have tiles and their tile apps are running in the background as they should then every device that encounters the tile signal reports back to the mother ship the general location of the device. At my last job with 300 folks I found out when I lost my keys that 40 people had tiles (it said so when I went to search for the keys) it lead me right to the guard desk where someone had turned them in. If you aren't in an area where anyone else would encounter the device (like on a farm for example) then this is probably not going to help.
