A:AnswerI've been using ours for a whole four days. We have some ridges also. It seems to do fine. There's not too much water that comes out so it doesn't seem like it's increasing the swelling. Alao it seems gentle enough to not hurt the ridges. It does work best if you go with the grain of the wood. It makes it Shine better. The picture is trying to show the ridges on ours. I'm not sure if the picture shows it well but they are swollen from water from our fridge. The vacuum does just fine going over them.
