Tivo sells a wifi adapter for the mini. I don’t know if 3rd party adapters work. There’s a chance if the chipset the adapter uses is the same as the Tivo branded one - It may not know the difference and will be recognized by Tivo’s software so you can set it up. It may be worth trying before shelling out additional $$. Search Tivo’s website to see if they have a list of compatible wifi adapters. I also recommend searching through google to see if someone has been successful using a 3rd party adapter and the brand they used.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The setup guide included in the box has an image showing a wifi adapter crossed out in red, as in do not use. That said, I've got mine connected to an Netgear Orbi satellite, and have heard others connecting theirs to wifi extenders successfully - both are ethernet connections.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have have never heard of a WiFi adapter for the TiVo Mini. Search the forums on TiVo and Weaknees. Because I do not have an RJ45 jack near the bedroom TV, and did not want the hassle of fishing one through the wall, I set up a MOCA network. Works well, Slight lag in channel changing but I am satisfied. Look into MOCA.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not work with WiFi. Has to be connected either by Ethernet or Moca.
